in the morning, tour to the Reed Flute Cave,
and Elephant Hill. After lunch, explore the
Seven Star Park. Transfer back to your hotel.
Flute Cave: The cave is so called because
there used to be reeds growing over the entrance
of the cave which could be turned into flutes.
With the depth of 240 meters, it serves people
500 meters long sightseeing. Inside the cave
there are abundant and imposing stalagmites,
stalactites, stone flowers, stone curtains
and stone pillars, which constitute the cave's
Trunk Hill: The hill is situated at the
joining of the Li River and Peach Blossom
River; it looks like a giant elephant drinking
water with its trunk. Between the trunk and
legs is a cave with the shape of a bright
moon hanging over the river. On top of the
hill stands a pagoda which was erected in
the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
Star Park: Situated on the eastern side
of Li River, it is the biggest park in Guilin
with an area of 120 hectares and the beautiful
natural richness. Former American President
Bill Clinton gave a speech on environmental
protection in the park in 1998. Well-known
tourist spots include the Guihai Stele Forest,
Bonsai Garden, Zoo, Flower Bridge, Putuo Hill,
Seven Star Cave, Crescent Hill, Dragon-Hidden
Cave and Camel Hill.
