Upon your arrival in
Guilin, our English-speaking tour guide and
driver will meet you at Guilin airport or
railway station. Transfer to your hotel with
private air-conditioned vehicle. The rest
of the day is free for you to relax.
- Longji (Breakfast,
Drive to Longji Rice
Terraces which takes 2.5 hours. Hike to the
top of the hill to shoot the stunning landscape.
Explore and shoot the Zhuang and Yao Minority
people and their wooden houses in villages.
Stay tonight in Pingan Village.
Terraced Fields: It is also named Dragon's Backbone
Rice Terraces. Located in the mountainous
region in the northeastern part of Guilin,
they are about 100 km from Guilin City. Covering
an area of 66 square kilometers, it was formed
gradually starting during the Yuan Dynasty
and ending during the Mid-period of Qing Dynasty.
In addition to splendid terrace view, Longsheng
is the gathering place of traditional ethnic
folk customs, among which the Zhuang occupies
the most. There are several Zhuang and Yao
Villages where visitors can experience an
authentic minority life as well as the culture.
The best time for
shooting in Longsheng Longji Rice Terraces:
May 25th to June 10th, shoot Rice Terraces
with full of water.
July 15th to August 1st, shoot the green
September 20th to Oct 7th, the harvest time
for golden rice terraces.

- Huangyao - Yangshuo (Breakfast,

to Huangyao which takes 2.5 hours, explore
and shoot the old town. Drive back to Yangshuo
in the afternoon. Stay tonight in Yangshuo.
Town: The ancient town is located in
the northeast of Guangxi Province, by the
lower reaches of Li River and 200 kilometers
from Guilin. Huangyao was originally built
in 927BC; it reached its heyday in the reign
of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795) during the
Qing Dynasty. Three streams winds through
the town, there are more than 30 temples,
pavilions, ancestral halls and other exquisite
cultural relics in the old town, and they
are well preserved.
Get up early, drive
to Xingping to shoot at the beautiful reflection
of Li River, you will take a small boat
to shoot sunrise with fishermen and cormorants
for about 1.5 hour. Then go to shoot the
fishing village that US former president
Clinton visited in 1998. After lunch, shoot
the the Yulong River and the countryside.
Drive 2 hours to Guilin airport for your
is an old town with a history of more than
1,300 years. It is 27 kilometers upstream
from Yangshuo on the Li River. The 17-kilometer
section of Li River between Yangdi and Xingping
is full of rapids and turns and features
enchanting landscapes, which make it the
most fascinating section of the excursion
on the Li River. Xingping is famous for
its beauty; a section of river view here
was chosen to be featured on the back of
China's 20RMB note.
