Flute Cave: The cave contains some of the most
extraordinary underground scenery in Guilin. Inside
the cave are a large number of stalagmites, stalactites,
stone curtains, stone pillars, and stone flowers.
Illuminated by the colorful lights, the cave looks
like a dazzling and splendid underground palace.
Trunk Hill: It looks like an elephant dipping
its trunk into the Li River, hence the name. A pagoda
that was constructed in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)
is found on the hill. The Elephant Hill Park is
the most visited park in Guilin.
Hill: One of Guilin's wonderfully scenic spots.
It reaches the height of 213 meters and emerges
62 meters above the water. Half of it stands in
the river and the other half of it on land.
Start Park: Filled with trees, beautiful gardens,
peaks and caves, the park is one of the best urban
parks in China. The elegantly constructed 5-arch
Flower Bridge is the main gateway to the park. It
was built in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). In late
spring and early summer, the bridge is surrounded
by flowers, hence the name Flower Bridge.
